While water resistant, linoleum and vinyl may need to be resealed every few years. Linoleum tends to be a bit stronger and lasts longer.
These flooring materials are softer than others and can crack and tear, especially near appliances. If kitchen or bathroom floors aren’t watertight, the subfloor could be damaged.
