This year, Nov. 30 is Giving Tuesday — a global event on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in which people and organizations support their communities through donations, volunteering, and other forms of generosity.
To honor this global day of giving, we support an organization with a mission that’s similar to our own. We understand that by working together, we can achieve our goals that much faster.
For Giving Tuesday 2021, we’re donating up to $5,000 to HouseProud Atlanta to support its mission of providing no-cost home repairs to low-income senior, veteran, and disabled homeowners in Atlanta.
The organization uses donations to hire licensed and insured tradesmen, while more than 1,000 volunteers each year help with painting and landscaping.
Other areas of repair include:
- Roofing
- Plumbing
- Heat and air
- Flooring and more
We applaud HouseProud Atlanta’s work to keep at-risk Atlanta community members “warm, safe, and dry” in their homes.
Among our past Giving Tuesday efforts are:
- A $4,000 donation in 2020 to the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership (INHP), which supports affordable and sustainable housing in the Indiana state capital.
- A $5,000 donation in 2019 to the housing nonprofit Way Finders, which combats homelessness in Western Massachusetts. We asked our Keep instagram followers to participate by sharing pictures of their front entryways with the hashtag #keepopensdoors.
